Zinc Furnace

Hot dip galvanizing process, used to melt and maintain zinc at the required controlled temperature for coating steel products. The furnace surrounds the zinc tank and provides uniform heating, using gas fired burners.

It ensures the zinc remains molten at set temperature, usually around 450°C, for consistent and effective galvanizing. Proper insulation and right size burners are used to minimize heat loss and improve energy efficiency. The furnace is designed to accommodate thermal expansion and support the tank structure safely and clear burner exhaust flow. Shivas/Associate furnaces include automatic temperature controls and safety systems. They are built to withstand continuous uniform temperature across furnace operation for zinc fluidity and coating quality.
